Coenzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a fat-soluble substance that works as a powerful antioxidant, helping to prevent lipid peroxidation and DNA oxidation in our cells1.
Additionally, CoQ10 plays a crucial role in the body’s energy production process by assisting in the creation of ATP, which is the main energy currency of our cells1.
CoQ10 supplements have been commonly used to improve fertility results, leading to a higher rate of successful pregnancies2,3.
Aging is associated with a decrease in CoQ10 production4,5.
Studies have shown that CoQ10 is present in human follicular fluid and that the concentration is notably higher in mature oocytes compared to abnormal oocytes; therefore inferring that there is a positive correlation between CoQ10 levels in follicular fluid and oocyte quality6,7. Studies have also demonstrated that pretreatment with CoQ10 can improve ovarian response and embryo quality in young women (age < 35) with poor ovarian prognosis and decreased ovarian reserve (AFC < 5, AMH < 1.2 ng/mL)8.
L-Arginine
L-arginine is a semi-essential or conditionally essential amino acid in humans9,10. It plays a role in various biological processes including protein biosynthesis, immune response, and the production of nitric oxide, which is a vasodilator9,10.
L-arginine improves follicular and endometrial blood flow which may enhance embryo implantation11,12.
In addition, L-arginine supplementation has been shown to improve endometrial thickness in patients with a thin endometrium (< 8 mm)9.
In poor responder patients undergoing in-vitro fertilization, L-arginine supplementation may improve ovarian response, endometrial receptivity, and pregnancy rate, which could be beneficial for women with PCOS undergoing fertility treatments11.
Resveratrol
Resveratrol is a natural polyphenolic compound found in plants and fruits13. It is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative properties13.
Resveratrol enhances mitochondrial function and biogenesis in granulosa cell cultures, leading to improved outcomes in folliculogenesis during intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatments14,15.
Resveratrol has shown promise in reducing endometriosis symptoms and lesion size through its anti-inflammatory and anti-angiogenic properties, as evidenced by significant pain relief in patients, reduced dysmenorrhea, and reduced endometrial implant volumes in experimental models16-18.
Additionally, it was observed that resveratrol supplementation could potentially ameliorate symptoms associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)19. This includes reducing insulin resistance and enhancing ovarian morphology19,20.
Resveratrol also appears to regulate reproductive hormones and decrease inflammation and oxidative stress by impacting relevant biological pathways19,21.

The Fertil Pro® LQ + Resveratrol formulation is particularly indicated for improving ovarian and endometrial conditions with a view to potential conception.
How do I take my treatment?
Take 2 capsules 3 times a day.
How long should I take Fertil Pro® LQ + Resveratrol?
We recommend a course of treatment lasting 3 to 6 months, renewable if necessary.
We encourage our patients to take a course of treatment lasting at least 3 months, in order to observe changes and give the body time to find a new equilibrium. The longer the course of treatment, the better the results. And there is no set maximum duration.
It is ideal to start treatment 2 to 3 months before the start of fertility treatments.
When should Fertil Pro® LQ + Resveratrol be stopped?
Fertil Pro® LQ + Resveratrol should be stopped as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.
Cycle changes
No significant changes have been observed after taking Fertil Pro® LQ + Resveratrol. However, it is important to inform your doctor of any significant changes (heavier bleeding, cycle length, etc.). This will enable your physician to optimize and adapt your medical treatment if necessary.
Coenzyme Q10 and L-arginine supplementation is generally well tolerated by women. Resveratrol does not appear to produce serious side effects at doses below 1.0 g/d.
Consult a health care practitioner before use if you are taking blood pressure medication or blood thinners.
